Meeting somone new

Subject: Meeting somone new Thu Dec 22, 2011 12:19 am

Alexa and I left the library so she could meet my friend Devon's little brother. She was new here and wasn't really meeting people so I decided to play the big sister role and help her out. We made some conversation as we walked to the music room but stopped once we reached the room. "So Trent is in there, you want me to introduce you guys or you think you could handle it?"

I sighed, readjusting my bad so it wouldn't fall off. "Um, maybe you should introduce us." I was into experiencing, but I'm not THAT ready. I'm not one of those people who walks into a room, sees a new person and says 'HEY. MY NAME'S ALEXA, WHAT'S YOURS?' Okay, maybe the screaming's a little over reacting, but still ya get the point. "I may be ready, but not that ready!"

I laughed. "Hey don't worry about it, Trent seems a little intimadating at first but once you get to know him hes a really nice guy." I walked closer to the door and saw Trent sitting at one of the electronic pianos. "Come on." I said waving Alexa to follow.

"Wait!" I yell-whispered, yanking her back out so the door made a tiny SLAM. "Um..." I was trying to think of a good reason to stall. "...What's Trent...like...?"

"Umm.." I started trying to recover form Alexa surprise ninja move. "Well hes seems like hes stuck up or something when you meet him. Hes very quiet so he gives off the impression that he doesn't care who you are but once you really get to know him hes very passionate about music and really funny like Devon, speaking of which, I have to meet him soon." I said.

"Thats the spirit!" I laughed. "So let me know how it went we can meet up or something or just come up to my room and talk, room 401." I said smiling. I was really happy Alexa was stepping out of her comfort zone and trying something new, it actually made me feel really happy that I helped someone.

"Bye." Alexa would say giving a soft wave. She really wanted to make a mental note of Room 401. Miranda seemed like maybe one of the easiest people to get along with, all cool laid back and a girl who you could just pour your feelings out to and she wouldn't judge. Kinda like when Alexa lied about the foster situation? Yeah, Miranda just brushed off the lies. Getting back into her train of thought, Alexa would shift her bag so it was perfectly on her arm, and tuck some loose hair behind her ears as she prepared to go in. She would also completely question why Miranda left her to just meet the guy alone. She could of atleast introduced the two. Eh, she shook the thoughts out and opened the doors to the music room and saw Evan.

She quietly and ever so awkwardly blurted out, "Err, Hi!"

I was sitting in the music room listen with one headphone to some of the beats I made when I heard a loud greeting. I turned to see a nervous girl who was about my age standing in the doorway wondering if she should be here or not. "Uh hi?" I said kinda confused on who she was.

She looked to her right and her left and suddenly ran over into the instrument room and pulled out her oboe case from the bottom right locker. What's wrong with her? Must she be so anti-social? Especially around boys? Wow. She can try. Yeah! She can try to say hi and greet him and maybe like socialize with him? She walked over to the doorframe and sort of leaned against it looking at her case.

She walked back out and said a few about a yard away, quietly kinda like a stalker. "Um, Miranda, you probably know her, said to come say hi! So...hi..again." She said, nervously.

I smiled when the girl said Miranda told her to come say hi, it was just like her to try and get me to make friends. "Yea I know Miranda, shes my brother's best friend." I told her. This girl looked like a nervous wreck. "Um well I'm Trent, its nice to meet you." I said putting my hand out.

He smiled, almost immediately, after she had finished explaining Miranda had recommended her to come meet him. As he explained how he knows her. "Oh, that's nice. She's actually really cool." She told him. She looked as if she was going to hurl, but a little less as the minute because he seemed to be warming up to her a bit. [color:b2bd=# BF5FFF]"Well, I'm Alexa. Nice meeting you too!" She told him, shaking his hand.

I smiled, maybe I could try this making friends thing. I noticed her instrument case. "So you play music?" I asked pointing at it. Maybe this could work.

She smiled as he pointed out her case. "Oh, yes! Oboe actually. I know, a little nerdy but it's got this whole snake charmer vibe to it." She said giggling. "And Miranda tells me you and your brother are into making beats?" She said. She's never really heard one before, not in a rap or a song. Never an actual plain ol beat that you come up with outta thin air...

"Yea were kinda into making it into the big time you know? Music means alot to us and we want to share it with people." I told her. Devon and I turned to music when our parents started to ignore us we used it to express what we were feeling and we haven't stopped since then.
