Devon walked up the steps of the school pulling her suitcases behind her, the mere size of the school intimidated her, let alone the fact that not one single person looks to be younger than 14 besides her, she could tell it would be tough to make a friend since she is only 12. Devon looked around at the field of high school kids.

I saw a kid walk up the steps of the school. She looks like I could be her aunt. I got off of the front steps and walked up to her. Hi sweetie. I'm Nicki. Since you seem like you're 11, I would like to be your guide around here. Well I don't have to if you don't want me to. So the question is do you want me to? I asked. She seemed in search of a helping hand. I mean she was either younger than the average high school-er or she was a mi-git.

Devon rolled her eyes and turned around as she heard the sugar sweet voice. She crossed her arms over her chest when she saw a bigger girl with black hair. "For your information I am 13." Okay, so this wasn't technically a lie since she was going to be 13 in 4 months. She heard the girl ask her if she wanted a guide. "Yes a guide would be lovely." she said lifting her chin still crossing her arms.
